New Taipei City is situated at the center of Northeast and Southeast Asia, and is less than five hours by plane from major Asian cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore. Transport and Communication
Serving as northern Taiwan’s transport and communications hub, New Taipei City boasts an extensive land area, a large and skilled population, abundant resources and the ability to integrate regional capabilities. The City has maximized its competitive advantages by joining with neighboring cities and counties such as Yilan County, Keelung City, Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City, and Miaoli County in establishing the “Northern Taiwan Development Commission” to facilitate inter-regional cooperation.
New Taipei City is a large municipality with a mix of urban and rural areas. Each of its subregions has retained its own culture and characteristics. A number of urban renewal plans are on the drawing board and these will create a sustainable investment environment for businesses. To meet the demands of urban economic development, the City government plans to revamp the New Banqiao Special District and the Xinzhuang New City Center, which will in turn boost development through optimization of the business environment and the economic policy infrastructure. “Golden Corridor” Industry Cluster
New Taipei City is located at the heart of the so-called “Golden Corridor”, an A-shaped industry belt, formed by Freeway No. 1 & No. 3, and Expressway No. 64. The “Golden Corridor” integrates multiple industrial areas and includes a free trade port zone, a science park, a knowledge park, and a communications park. In addition, efforts are being made to attract more knowledge- and research-based industries in order to increase the scope and effectiveness of the “Golden Corridor’s” industry cluster.
The objective of the “Golden Corridor” project is to acquire industrial resources provided by the central government, integrate existing spaces and land development projects, and increase the value of companies through the project’s industry uidance policies. In addition, the “Golden Corridor” will integrate business districts to create an urban environment, establish a free trade port zone by making use of nternational air and sea ports in neighboring areas, and create an environment conducive to multinational business operations. Through these measures, the “Golden Corridor Project” will double current investment, consumption, and employment in the area.

Lead traditional industry innovative upgrade
To enhance the competitiveness of traditional industries, NTPC government has launched a innovation program since 2014, using the innovative strategy of "creating a friendly and innovative environment", "introducing innovative catalyst" and "customized demand counseling".
"Traditional Industry value-added" project is launched in 2015 because of the trend of industrial intellectualization. The city lead to way for industries, over the process of production, management, marketing and sale, to introduce intelligent production, cloud information applications, 4G, smart busi,and e-commerce and other value-added elements, helping the traditional industry to upgrade smart.
.A new proletariat development model was into the industry at the grassroots level in 2016. in addition to an extensive investigation of the needs and practice of intellectualization of traditional industry,
the project introduced innovative thinking and wisdom of the new knowledge through courses and forums. It also provided affordable clouds Programs, industry intelligence action platform and e-commerce services and other intelligent counseling measures. Intellectualization information spread to more than 19 thousands of corporations, and more than 29 hundreds participated in the counseling or activities, leading NTPC to a new way of intellectual industry.
